Originally an 18th-century countryside finca, Amnesia opened as a club in 1976. The name "Amnesia" was chosen to represent forgetting your troubles and losing yourself in the music. The venue played a crucial role in establishing Ibiza's reputation as a global dance music destination.

The club has been home to legendary parties like Cocoon, La Troya, and Cream, hosting pioneers of electronic music such as Sven Väth, Paul Oakenfold, and Carl Cox. The iconic terrace's sunrise sessions have become a rite of passage for serious clubbers.
